Hogwarts sock swap questionnare

6 04 2007

1. What Hogwarts house have you been sorted into?

I’ve been sorted into Slytherin House

2. Shoe size?

US 9 1/2 or 10 (kind of in between there)

3. Foot Length?

10 1/2″ (27 cm)

4. Foot Circumference?

9″ (23 cm)

5. List your three favorite double-point needle brands, including size and length.

a.Brittany birch, 5″ length (13 cm), US 1 or 1.5 (2.25 mm or 2.5 mm)

b.Clover, 5″ length (13 cm), US 0 or 1 (2 mm or 2.25 mm)

c.Crystal Palace, 6″ length (15 cm), US 0 or 1 (2 mm or 2.25 mm)

6. Would you like to try a new brand needle? If so, which brand? Size? Length?

Um… I’d love to try a set of DPNs from the Celtic Swan Forge, but as they’re a bit of a hot commodity right now (not to mention very pricey), I’d like to try some Colonial rosewood or Addi Naturas. I’d prefer sizes between US 0 (2 mm) and US 2 (2.75 mm), and I prefer the needles to be a bit on the shorter side. 5 inches seems to be just about right for me, and anything over 6″ seems a bit unwieldy to me.

7. If you are a RAVENCLAW, do you prefer the colors in the film or the book? Do you have a strong preference?

8. Are you willing to have an international Hogwarts Sock Pal?

I’d be fine with an international pal! How cool would that be to get socks from the other side of the world!!!

ETA: Rebecca, who is running this swap, is capping this at 100 people (to be repeated in Aug.-Oct.). So if you haven’t signed up already for the current swap, come on over and get yourself sorted!

I hope you have lots of fun with the Hogwarts Sock Swap! It looks like Slyterin gets another 25 points. Although there are only three of you, two have posted their answers to the questionnaire so you guys are in the lead!

I have reached your blog through the referers feature on our site.

I think you’ll be pleased to know that an English translation is now available for the Domokun backpack pattern here:

Could you please let the people of the Bunch of Geeks forum know about it? I don’t want to register only to post a single message. Thanks.
